In my work, I often study galaxy clusters, these are systems of hundreds to thousands of galaxies bound together by gravity. We currently think that there are billions of galaxy clusters in the Universe and our constraints of the number of galaxies currently stands at 2 Trillion or 2,000,000,000,000 !!! o_O

      Maggie’s answer is perfect!
Now image how many stars there are, that’s 750 billion times 2Trillion,
That’s 150,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Stars (I don’t even know how to say that)
The chances are most of those have planets, so the chances there is life outside of Earth seems very likely!
      Great Question,

      Ryan
