• Question: Why does the Perseid Meteor Shower occur, and how often does it happen ?

      Meteor showers occur when cosmic dust, particles or asteroids enter our atmosphere and burn up on entry. Now the named meteor showers like the Perseid, happen regularly (every year), because the Earth’s orbit enters a region with lots of cosmic debris.
